The Tuberculosis Department of the Public Health Service (GGD Amsterdam) is situated at the ground floor of the Services' main building at the Nieuwe Achtergracht 100.
TB-screening as requested by the Immigration and Naturalization Service of the Netherlands (IND) : Screening at entry on Monday or Tuesday between 13.00 and 15.00 p.m. Follow-up screening also on Monday and Tuesday between 13.00 and 15.00 p.m.
- Substance abusers (harddrugs or alcohol):
Wednesday between 08.30 and 11.30 a.m.
For complaints or when further investigation is necessary: the doctors surgery is every day between 9:00 and 11:00.
Monday to Friday between 08.30 and 11.30 a.m.
TB-screening is only performed if the seafarer comes from a tb high-incidence country or has symptoms that indicate a possible infection with tuberculosis. Please bring your seamansbook.

Referral by General Practitioner (GP) or other physician:
Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 11.00 a.m.
When you have no family doctor or insurance you can come without a referral.
- TB-screening after having been in contact with a TB-patient (contact investigation):
Usually you are invited for contact investigation on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday between 08.30 and 11.30 hours.
On Wednesdays only in consultation with the TB department. Never on Thursday!

- TB-screening for travellers and/or pre-travel TB-vaccination:
Monday, Tuesday or Friday between 08.30 and 11.30 a.m. On Wednesdays only in consultation with the TB department.
Never on a Thursday! Please call (020) 555 5240 first, if you needed a BCG vaccination
Costs: € 28,55 for Tuberculin Skin test (Mantoux) BCG vaccination € 28,55).
- Periodical TB-screening for health care workers:
Monday, Tuesday or Friday between 08.30 and 11.30 a.m. On Wednesdays only in consultation with the TB department. Never on a Thursday!
- Newborns for BCG vaccination:
Children who qualify receive an invitation between 6 and 9 months old.
