Celicia

By being open and sharing experiences, living with HIV becomes lighter and people understand us better.

Celicia is a warm, curious and active woman. She enjoys being around people and connecting with others. She has a diverse career as a home-based hairdresser, dog sitter, ladies’ night consultant and health coach. In everything she does, well-being comes first. In her free time, she enjoys walking, yoga and spending time with her family.

Celicia has been living with HIV for 15 years. She has experienced ignorance and discrimination, and sees this as an opportunity to educate others. As a volunteer at an HIV organisation, she is committed to break down stigma. She actively shares the message U = U (Undetectable = Untransmittable). For Celicia, openness is the key to an honest and empowered life. She is proud to be a positive role model and to have friends who value her for who she is.
