Erik

By sharing my story, I hope people judge less and listen more to one another.

Erik is a caring man from Amsterdam with a genuine interest in others. He has a positive outlook on life, for him, the glass is always half full. He works with great passion in the film industry and regularly travels to film festivals. Alongside his love for art and culture, he is very active and often starts his day with exercise or yoga.

Thirteen years ago, Erik received his HIV diagnosis, which had a major impact on his life. He is proud of how he has come through that period. With the support of his husband, whom he calls his “rock”, Erik is now committed to to tackling HIV stigma. By being open about his story, he hopes to inspire others not to judge too quickly and encourages people living with HIV to speak openly about their experiences.
